Unsubscribes, bounces, and delivery problems

Opt-outs are honored immediately and permanently. Delivery failures are surfaced loudly instead of silently dropping a contact.

Two different things can interrupt a contact's alerts, and proxigenta treats them very differently.

Choices are honored silently. Every alert email carries an unsubscribe link (plus the standard one-click unsubscribe header). If a contact opts out or marks a message as spam, they are unsubscribed immediately and permanently; only a fresh invite and their explicit re-confirmation can restore alerts.

Failures are surfaced loudly. If a contact's mailbox bounces or rejects a message, proxigenta does NOT quietly drop them: they stay alertable, delivery keeps retrying, and the settings app shows a red banner (“Couldn't deliver to X”) so you can fix the address or check with them. A safety product should never silently lose a contact over a full mailbox.

If a contact resubscribes through the email preferences page, their alerts resume automatically.
